Composite Fillings

Today's composites not only look more natural but are also tougher, more versatile and can be used to:
· Restore small- to mid-sized cavities
· Reshape chipped teeth and broken teeth
· Replace amalgam fillings
Composite fillings have other benefits, too. If you have sensitive teeth, composite fillings may make them less sensitive to hot and cold. And with composites, more of your tooth structure stays intact – that’s not the case with silver fillings. Composite fillings are also easily fixable if they’re damaged. The best part is they look great!

Beautiful Porcelain Crowns

Crowns constructed with modern, natural-looking porcelain can restore function, appearance, and the proportion of your smiling face.

If more than half of your tooth has been restored with a filling, a crown is necessary. Without adequate support, the tooth may break away around the filling. As a rule, when fillings get larger, teeth become weaker. See more about porcelain crowns here including a movie: http://www.stonesmiles.com/porcelain-crowns/

A sculpture for your viewing pleasure!

Dr. Stone named this sculpture "Cross." It is incredibly beautiful and it should be considering what it is made of! The media is cast fine silver, cast gold, charorite, Brazilian amethyst, and Montana moss agate. The meaning of the charorite stone relates to where it comes from, as it is named after the location where it is found, near the Chara River in Russia. Russian Charorite is very beautiful, and its color is predominantly purple. Enjoy!

Another visual treat from Dr. Stone!

This painting is titled Thin Place. Why do you think Dr. Stone named it Thin Place? Please like and comment below! The colors are fabulous and vibrant.

The little boy looks real and the water and fish look abstract - we wonder what Dr. Stone is saying with this painting.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. We have made a lot of progress but still have a long way to go and need your help!

Have a Heart

This sculpture is titled "Five of Hearts" and is sculpted from rainbow obsidian. The colors are soothing and mystic. Rainbow Obsidian is black obsidian that, when polished and exposed to a strong light, shows bands of rainbow colors. Rainbow obsidian is said to be the stone used by Nostradamus to foresee future events!

Friday Artwork - Anchor-Blue

This digital painting by +Dr. Frank C. Stone, DDS  is titled Anchor-Blue. It has the expected nautical feel of a bow of a boat, but it also has a musical flair involved in it's composition.

From the base of the anchor back into the boat it appears there is a mandolin, a stringed instrument of the lute class. The colors are dazzling.
